We walked down to Fremont for the Solstice festival again this year (2007). We watched the naked bicyclists and part of the parade. Leslie noted that the parade is great in concept but not so much in execution. No advertising is allowed. No letters or numbers are allowed in the parade. It's a free-form anything-goes celebration of, well, really whatever you want. Political statements tend to be made and clearly lean to the left. Conservatives generally do not attend. Ergo my friend Brian hates it.
I bought a violin at one of the festival booths.
I love the nude bicyclists and dream of being a nudist, but I just can't make the necessary leap away from inhibitions yet. I would have to begin at a colony rather than preceeding a parade in front of the general public.
This isn't a form of exhibitionism for me, just freedom. Freedom from rules as much as anything.
We didn't take very many pictures, but there are a few.
Those were the best photos, or at least the ones I chose to put up. I know they are mostly of females, and mostly just one female. Assume the worst if you desire, whatever that might be for you.
